Black Monday MIB RIP

Post by Jason_323i »

It's a sad day for the e21 world, MIB is gone, burnt out in an electrical fire but nobody was injured.

Mark and MIB single handly rasied the e21 profile and I know MIB helped mark focus when other things where no so great.

I would just like to say we feel for you Mark and hope in the next few days when you get your thought together you will be back in the e21 world as it would be shame to lose you and MIB

Jason

I saw the photo too. I thought you were waiting to prank everyone through a clever use of photoshop. Main thing is that no-one was hurt. You'll have the agreed valuation to fall back on. Time to build a bigger and better MIB if you ask me :-)

Don't want to pre-empt Mark's reply but I believe he said it was an electrical short on FB.

I really feel for you mark i know exactly how you feel.back 2009 my one off harley trike caught fire and ended a total write off i had the trike years aswell just like you and mib.Anyway i just thought id post this to let you know that i can sympathise in how your feeling but dont give up i know ive not been a forum member long but i think it would be nice if we could all donate some parts & free labor to get it back on the road if its not to far gone as it was your car that inspired me to get my e21 and do similar mods. the forum wont be same without mib:(

I don't think it has quite sunk in yet but I'm absolutely gutted. I know it's insured but that won't make up for all the hours put into MIB. I'm sure I'll get another but right now I think it's likely that I'll take a break. I am grateful for all the support though guys.

quite unbelievable - all this bad luck Mark
our thoughts are with you
good idea pooling our resources for the rebuild- since you have been so helpful to many of us here

happy to donate something suitable for the rebuild- all I can find are the side windows- which you can have if they need replacing because of fire damage.
