the side to side slop in my gear linkage is getting on my nerves! being that its only guna be a few quid bits wise ive been thinking of ordering the little plastic bushes from bm.
looking at the realoem pic isnt refreshing my memory as to which i need?

also a short shift would be nice. is that just a 1.9 z3 item?

You want parts 9 to 15 and a z3 1.9 shifter

Makes a world of difference once you've fitted the replacement parts as well. Night an day difference.

I think I have a short shifter in my parts pile, bought it ages ago for the blue car but for some reason couldn't fit it. Decided to leave the original in the Baur. If we can find it on 29th you can have it. Not keen on the slop in the Baurs linkage either so I may end up doing bushes on that with it attached to the car instead of before it all got put together!

I swapped the plastic washers with a slightly thicker metal one. This has reduced slop immensely.

jim thats ace if we can find it! do you have a part number for the 1900 z3 shifter jason?
