Brake rod adjustment

Post by healeyneil »

Either its the heat or something, but Im confused ! My brake pedal travels too far. Im sure the rod from the pedal needs to be adjusted. Am I right in thinking I should shorten it ?
Thanks, Neil

It doesn't just go out of adjustment because of the weather. How much further do you need to push the pedal?

Or are you low on pressure due to a leak, or air in the system?

It's always been bad ! The reference to the heat was the effect on my brain !
The brake pedal has always had a longer travel than I'd like. I've lived with it too long is all

Just to update, shortening the rod does reduce pedal travel. Much better now
