323i 731 Head. Which Inlet Gaskets?

Post by e21Keith »

At last I'm ready to refit the head on my 323i. This time I'm using the 731 head and again I've had it skimmed and crack tested, so hopefully it will better this time.

The 731 head has bigger intake ports than the 200 casting and I'm using the original Jetronic manifold so they don't match up that well. I have a spare manifold so I could get it machined out but in the meantime should I use the e21 intake manifold gasket or the e30 ones? I'm guessing e30 but thought it would be good to check?
