Hello all,
I recently acquired a rust-free straight 1982 US-spec 320i rolling shell as a personal project. As the title says, I plan to do an M52B28 swap along with a ZF S5-31 transmission, and have a few questions.
First, I have no idea where to start for wiring up the engine. Is it best to go with Megasquirt engine management instead of the factory ECU? I have read of issues with an immobilizer, and a rev limiter when there is no signal from the ABS sensors, so that is why I am hesitant of keeping the factory management.
Second, what routes have people gone with mounting the engine? I am leaning towards buying the classic daily mounts, but would love to know what others have done!
Finally, since I will be doing the ZF S5-31 transmission and that one doesn't have a mechanical speedo drive, what is the best way to go for a speedo?
