PPC mag E21 feature

Post by e21-Mark »

Some weeks ago, I mailed a few of you about a proposed e21 magazine feature that combines stock & modified cars. Well the time has finally come and the venue is going to be Raydon Airfield in Suffolk. I have posted a Google map link below. It is likely to be taking place on a week-day so if we can come up with one or two alternatives between us, I can then pass them to PPC for them to choose the actual date. I'm sorry the venue isn't closer to those of you up North but this was the best venue we could get at short notice.

Can any of you who are able to bring your cars along one day this month please post below or PM me? This isn't a show&shine event but a feature on e21's that are used day to day. Stock, modified, raced, whatever!

Even if some of our cars aren't actually featured individually, it would still be a good day and I'm sure some group shots would be used. It's an ideal chance for us to show there is actually a UK E21 scene and it's not all about the e30! Being an a airfield I imagine there could be room for some ''action shots'' too!

I'm up for it, Raydon is 15miles away from the farm so you're all welcome to visit, and if you're brave enough to camp too if you need an overnight stay!

Date wise, as long as I have a week's notice I will be able to book it off.

Someone needs to throw some dates into the mix? The sooner we settle on a date, the sooner I can arrange it with PPC. Ideally, a choice of 2 dates would be good.

I'm going to suggest a Monday or a Friday, that way people that have to travel can use the weekend before/after as an advantage. Personally I'm all clear for the whole month, given advance warning!!

EDIT: Later in the month would help in the weather department, and also for anyone with tweaks needing to be done! I'm suggesting Mondays March 14th, 21st and 28th or Fridays March 18th, 25th, 1st Apr.

Yea this should be ok for me. Would prefer the 18th cos then I can save booking extra days off.

Misky will be back by then and I'll have my engine finished. 5 weeks will fly by anyway. Plus the the weather will be warmer.

I think it's a good time to do it and gives everyone who's attending time to get organized.
