errrrr, have you tied a car down on a trailer using ratchet straps before? lol.
you need a set up like this.....

if youve already got ratchet straps then get a set of these.....

you shouldnt attach straps to the actual car. cus as you go over bumps the cars body moves on cars suspension possibly loosening the straps. the wheels dont move, so you tie the wheels down!

No, I haven't.

I'll just have to do the best I can with the straps I have as there's nowhere I can get any more between now and 5.30am tomorrow,

What a twat. :wha The hire company are at fault there.

Thanks for the headsup Mr Murran. I did the straps again and let a bit of air out the tyres so they won't slip off.

It was great - till the nearside caliper dumped all the brake fluid anyway. :( I should have been more thorough in my prep but I'll have it sorted for Crystal Palace. I must admit, after being used to the Wilwoods the OE brakes are pretty poor. The engine is so sweet though and works really well with the dogleg gearbox. Being so light is absolutely flies and sounds awesome. Lots of popping and crackling on overrun. Love it. Best run was 79secs but I have no idea if that's good or bad?

I had the same issue with brake fluid at Croft last year, bleed nipple came loose and dumped all the front circuit pressure going into Tower :shock

Very scary experience and I check the brake nipples now!
