French based Peter Auto that is known from organizing all the 'Classic' events like Le Mans Classic and Spa Classic, started with the Tour Auto Optic classic car rally several years ago, and the event is really reaching an impressive level. From April 7-12 the convoy will tour France again, mainly the southeast towards the Alps.
Some of the worldwide contestants? Erik Comas in a group 4 Stratos, Olivier Panis in a Ferrari 308 gr 4 Michelotto, Mark Blundell in an AR 1600GTA. And the line up of cars is amazing as well, I really don't know where to start. From several E9 CSL's through more Stratoses, the Ferrari Breadvan and a whole line of other exclusives from the known makes (Ferrari, Porsche, AM, etc). It looks like I can't be there and that's saddening already!

Re: Tour Auto Optic
Friend of mine will be in the event as a team manager, let me see if I can join as a photographer and otherwise it could be an option to take a cheap diesel and do a weekend Paris to be there for the start perhaps?!
