Thought I'd get some pics of the old girl up, as I've finally got the stance how I wanted it, and got the new wheels refurbed and mounted. Now running 15x7 melbers, lightly polished lips with 195/55 Bridgestones. 323i front struts with bilstein sport dampers, compbrake solid -1 deg camber topmounts, filled rear subframe mounts. 323i front brake setup with goodrich hoses. Engine currently standard until it fails, recent headgasket, but coming up for 150K now. Still can't make up my mind on what to do engine wise, know I want to stay 4cyl, but rebuild M10/M42 or save up for the S14 dream... Rust free and decent original paint for 27 years!

For now, to improve cold start and boost the performance a bit, looking at designing and making up and adapter plate to fit a Weber 32/36 DGAV carb to the standard inlet mani, so I can upgrade to weber but still run an auto choke. If anyone is interested in such an adapter, let me know.

damn that looks nice.
everytime i see an e21 with that (hartage?) front spoiler.... i love it. but then i like my bbs spoiler. :? 8)

i'd not hesitate in dumping the 4 pots all together. an m42 is still a gutless revvy 4 pot whichever way you cut it.......

Revvy goodness is where it's at man!

Cheers for the comment, it's a BM motorsport spoiler, would love the matching bootlip one as well, but stoopid money for those it seems

Got the 2 litre M10 In now, made up of 2002 e12 head on late e21 316 block with 2002 tii pistons and crank. Weber 32/36 water controlled auto choke bolted onto a 320/4 inlet manifold. Ported 316 exhaust manifold as a start... done about 100 running in miles so far, nice and smooth, much better low end pick up and a nice induction roar from the weber's second stage. A few of the build pics for now:

:) awesome. how long have you had your car? tell you what with 150k and it looking still like that in the original paint as well, is rare in itself.

Yeah, got lucky with it, had it nearly three years now, only the second owner, but it's been all over Europe with me now! Once I've done the running in I'll bring it up north, (I'm working in Sheffield at the mo) would be cool to have a look at your motor in the flesh.
