wow looking real good.
There are not many images of kastanienrot e21 on the web, well there are lots, but the colour dose not seem to hold up with age too well and many of the images on the www are of cars with the origional faded paint job.
Its great to see a freshly painted car to see what the colour really looks like.
My car was chestnut red when new and it was only recently that it was painted matty b. Im quite seriously thinking of returning it to the factory paint.
i also love the fact that you have blacked out the window chrome. looks real tidy, ties in the black wheels real well.
Well done to that man.

thanks, nothing beats factory colors on e21 in my opinion
i like shadowline bmw, so as my chrome trim wasn't that nice anymore i used plastidip to paint my trim.
it's not very easy to paint but it gives a natural black rubber look and not a 'painted over' result.

Hi, I love what you have done to your car. The engine overhaul is wonderful. I'm am truly envious of how pristine your overall finish is. The painting of the chrome door and window trims is a big change for me, but I think it looks great against the black wheels.
I too have recently acquired a 1982 323i. The car is generally in good condition, but the chrome bumpers need some love. They are structurally very good though. Did you get new ones for your car, or did you have you originals restored?
Thanks,
Paul - UK

sorry for the late reply, most bumper parts are new, cause the original ones were ok on the outside, but 'crispy' on the inside
also my front bumper was really used someday in its life and was bent inwards..
new bumpers parts are not very cheap ,but they are easy to find on the interweb

Hi,
Is the branch exhaust for an E21 and if so was it easy to fit to the E30 engine also how is the rest of the exhaust setup?
I also have a 323 and have a M20b25 that will be going in.
Your car looks good!

Nice work. That kind of heatshield is that on en exhaustmanifold? Lots of tidying up to do, like the cold startinjector and not the least, a battery but almost there!
