ok, so i gathered some info to build a 2.8 stroker
as i want to get some more power out of the engine,
i will keep the k-jetronic injection (cause of future car inspection) and the flywheel of the 323i as it should be lighter than a E30 flywheel
i bought a 325I E30 engine, a M52B28 crank and 130mm rods
degreased, cleaned and painted block
cleaned pistons and shaved skirts
ready to rebuild the engine

Hi itrvw,

Have you tried the Porsche wheels on yet? I'm really interested to by one of these sets also.. What size is the spacers you have? and what size tires are you going to fit on these wheels?
Please load a pic with those installed when you haave the opportunity...

I lost track here. Is this a second engine you are preparing for the car? You most have hours in a day than the rest of us

ok, the engine bay is painted in my 'professional paint booth' (read 'garage')
i installed an exhaust fan and gave my garage a good cleaning
primed, painted and clearcoated it in original color (chestnut red 157) with an old cheap hvlp-paint gun
and what a difference! the result is really great!
it proves you don't need an expensive paint booth
preparation and good paint is most important
so now i can put the engine back in and get this thing started
and next summer i'll paint the rest of the car

Fantastic work, it's looking really lovely, but is this the second engine you make for the car or is that the pictures posted in different order! I really do like the stainless steel manifolds they look great! Can't wait to see them in the flashy engine bay!

the first engine is the original 2300cc engine of the car
the second engine is a 2500cc engine of an e30, i turned into 2800cc and is now fitted in the car.

yes! got the engine running now (thanks dutch forum), i had some trouble with the wur and ignition
i tested the injectors, spray pattern was not as it should be, even after ultrasonic cleaning, so they had to be replaced..
i also installed a new starter, this one is much smaller and lighter than the original, i think it's a later model ( for e30) but it fits
now i am amused with the alternator, since it's not charging the battery
here a pic of the engine in it's habitat after i got it running
so this is the 2.8 stroker with cis injection (k-jetronic)
are there any other e21's with this setup?
please let me know, i'd love to see them
next, getting front brakes lines and clutch connected, oil filled and bleed system to get this bimmer movin'

Looks fab since stock looks are retained, curious as to what the output will be. And what does the CIS system add to the stock K-Jet?
