the reason why i want to fit this rear axle is because i have plans for mounting a hydraulic handbrake :)

For that construction you need to seperate the handbrake and normal brakesystem then?

i think that everything has to do with cable handbrake has to be removed, and the hydraulic handbrake works on the same circuit with the brake caliper

except the two front wishbones, i have all the parts for a complete 323i suspension swap
this evening went for a 323i torsion axle :D
front strut legs are being sandblasted, brake calipers are also ready to be mounted with new gaskets and rubbers :D

this afternoon finally fitted the 323 bilstein front legs,
forgot to take pics from the works...
brakes are still 320/6, havent got the 323i calipers together.
made a test drive, the car drives very much better, more steady to the road, though much more nervous steering and corner behave,
lowering isnt good viewable, probably because of the little wheels :hammer
now mounted is the well known new Bilstein B6 sport shock set in combination with the -35mm H&R new spring set

Looks nice! If you would place some new chrome trims at your windows at the front and back it would make it even better.

congratulations dude!

are you allowed to just have a hydraulic handbrake in belguim? in the uk you need a mechanical hand brake to pass an mot. tho you can have a hydraulic system too if you want, but its not tested as part of the mot, aslong as the system is safe and not leaking fluid etc.

useful hydro thread with fitting/bleeding guide, pictures and common questions......
