Yes, I am looking forward to the sharknose meet in June :P

The car have been on the operating table today:

An E30 manifold is a pretty good fit on an E21, but it seems the engine is a bit lower places than in an E30 - The pipes from the manifold is a bit lower than the front cross member thing, so it needs a bit of work to be a perfect fit.
But it looks god so far 8)

Just a quick question; what spring do you have? I'd like to drop mine a couple of cm, and I really like the ride height of your car 8)

It is Ventura springs, 60/40mm lowering.

I have earlier had a bad connection in the multiplug located on the left side on the engine beneath the intake manifold. I think all the injector cables, flywheel sensor etc. is running through this conneciton. There was a bad connection, so it was changed.
And it was not only rev counter, but allso engine ignition that went out for short periods of time.

Actually, it is a perfect fit on engine, but it will of corse not fit a standard E21 exhaust system.

So I went to the software guy today, to have the motor mapped for the changes I have done, that includes the 277 Schrick cam shaft, sport exhaust manifold, expanded induction on the engine head and a new KN air filter.

The first dyno test showed 171,1hp@5.839 revs/min, and 232,6 Nm@4.378 revs/min.
The ignition was a bit off in the high rev area (that can also be seen on the chart) and it was running a bit lean also in the high rev area.

After some adjustments of the ignition times and gasoline injection we achieved 190,8hp@6.341 revs/min and 256Nm@4.531 revs/min!
Not bad at all :banana

The chart shows both NM and hp before and after:

Wow great result. When I had my 2.5 fitted I was so happy with the extra performance, but to be honest it could be a tad nippier, getting sick of being overtaken by 2.0 litre diesels! I might just go down your route at some stage with a new cam
