323 parts

Post by BenP » Fri Jan 11, 2019 11:55 am

Hi, does anyone have or know where I can get some axel spacers (think that's what they are called, between the rear wheel bearings inside the trailing arms) for a 323i.
Also looking for a UK supplier for the bearings.

Bearings just buy them at SKF, much cheaper than the dealer (6 pounds in stead of 120). Spacers in between the bearings go together with a space ring between the arm and outer bearing. You'll need 13 and 7.

For the bearings:

nr 5 = 30X58X16 mm
nr 6 = 30X62X16 mm

These can be bought from SKF. Note that BMW used open grooved bearings, but now it is OK to used closed ones, just go to a store where they can advice you.

Thanks for the info, but I'm struggling to find anywhere that sells the spacers. And when you look online for the bearings the sizes listed for a 323 are wrong as I've found out already by buying some and they are the 4 cylinder sized ones. And I really don't want to pay main dealer prices

Sizes that I gave are correct. Can be bought from SKF at any seller/hardware store/carpart supplier. Spacers need te be bought at BMW.

Wychbearings uk can supply 30 x 62 x16 deep groove ball bearing part no. 6206skf at 6.14 +vat. Couldnt find any listing for 58 mm od type though. Maybe worth giving them a call to get further help, all vehicle parts catalogues ive checked seem to struggle to match sizes stated earlier.
