I'll be removing my wilwood powerlite's at the weekend so can look at the brackets and measurements. They will also be for sale.

sounds silly but whats the difference and is the rest of your brake setup standard e21? could do with a brake upgrade myself in my m52 powered e21

I'll be taking some piccies of old and new over the weekend. But basically I've gone for the same piston size and disc width as the powerlite setup but the pads are 50% bigger than the powerlite's.
Currently my brake system is all std apart from braided lines front powerlite calipers and pad materials. Will be going 296mm discs up front with the larger Superlite calipers. I am also going to fit E30 rear calipers to enable a better selection of pads for the rear.

Front:
std E21 pad surface area = 3348 mm2
Wilwood powerlite pad surface area = 3136 mm2
Wilwood Superlite pad surface area = 4728 mm2

Rear:
std E21 pad surface area = 1653 mm2
std E30 pad surface area = 2002 mm2

Same calipers as me but with slightly larger 300mm floating disks and with minilites on the rear, again 300mm. :crazy

dear Duracell
Do the powerlites bolt right up to standard discs BAC?

If so I should have had them off you rather than the Volvo jobs I have bought?

With the correct bracket, Yes they will fit to std ø255mm 323i discs:

I still need to measure the bracket and draw it up for you guys.
I'll try and get some measurements before they a picked up.

That would be great.
I still do not have brakes on my car (

Could you also measure the brackets needed for the Superlite upgrade?
and the calipers/disks id's?

Why didn't you go to e34 302mm disks? their hats do fit us quite well I thought..

Calipers and pads came from Rally Design and they offer decent prices. For pads I'm personally not that happy with the Wilwood ones, threw them in the bin and fitted Ferodo DS2500 P/N FRP3108. Lines are custom, the usual hydraulics specialists like Pirtek should be able to do that for you.

More useful info here for example http://www.bmwe21.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16261

What's missing then is the brackets, still chasing a manufacturer for those, hope to meet him again -after ages- next week...

Jeroen wrote:I wasn't to pleased with Wilwood's fast road pads, but nowadays you can get Ferodo DS2500 for the Powerlite 120-8729 4 piston unit and they are pretty good for both road and the occasional trackday. I used them myself for a few track laps and on 2 trips to the Alps already. Ferodo model FRP3108.
Can you please give an order link?
I can't seem to find these easily in Greece!
Or else, any alternatives?
