Peter V.'s E21 320/6 ascotgrau 18000 km.

Post by Peter V. »

Hey Guys,

At the dutch group the car is spoken of already but with the rest it still is unknown.

A month ago i bought this E21 from a BMW-garage in the Netherlands. It is originaly an Italien 320/6 and it drove around on the island of Sicily. The car has had only 18000 km on it and it came with the next options:

*Ascotgrau.
*Pop-out windows.
*Sunroof original.
*Airco (aftermarket but specialy for this car).
*All the books.

The plan is to get this car at the next "Sharknosemeeting 2011" but there are some things todo.
Because of the low milage i need to check and maybe replace:

* all the brakeparts and clutchcylinders.
* Timingbelt with spanner.
* Coolingstuf complete.
* Exhaust complete.
* New tyres.
* Some seals.

The car has no rust so i must keep her that way. Some pictures of the car will make this story complete:

With no licenseplate because it is still an Italien car:

Even the bottom is still in the original colour:

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Thanks guys :thumbsup

It took me some time to find here but i had only one goal and that was to find a M20 engine and no rust. If it was a 323i i had to pay much more i think.

Today i started to give her some TLC but she can use a lot.
The biggest problem of a low milage car is the low milage. Every brake and clutch cylinder is old and has a big chance of leaking. Brakepads and tyres are old. brakehoses are old. Suspensionrubbers are old etc etc.

I started with the timing belt and already came to the conclusion she needs a coolantflush.

@Lars, Thanks for your offer but i ordered al the parts already and most of them have arrived.

All the brakeparts, clutchparts, exhaust, coolingissues etc etc will become new and original offcourse.
