My '78 320/6 Baur & '82 323i Edition S

Post by nuga »

Ok, so as this subforum is officially gallery, I'll post some pics about my two e21's :)

First one is '78 320/6 Baur. Basically restored from nothing: it had no interior, no engine, no wheels, baur top was incomplete. Most of the restoration work is done by now. Soft top is waiting to be installed this winter. Also, interior must be refurbished and trunk must be repainted + some little details.
You can see a little summay in this thread: http://www.bmwclassic.ee/forum/viewtopic.php?t=276. Probably you wount be able to read the text, but at least pistures are there :)
By the way, I'm looking for good condition sandbeige interior for this baby. Maybe someone can help with this. Right now, there are grey seats from '83 315, but it doesn't look right :?

The second e21 is 323i Edition S. Aslo brought in very sorry state, but I like challenges  Photos are seen in the gallery page: http://www.bmwclassic.ee/galerii/nuga

The tone is original - it's kaschmirgold metallic :) Altough, the car was repainted by one of the previous owners and it was... green

When edition s will be completed? I actually don't know, two years maybe. I have no hurry and I have baur to comfort me meanwhile 8)
I started this restoration back in 2003.

As I mentioned in other topic you're doing great job Nuga saving all those cars from being scraped for parts.

Edition S will be better  Attention to details is from different level.
A few examples:

In addition, I've managed to source some extra goodies for this car: LSD, power assisted steering, headlight wipers, green tinted windowglasses and original bmw bavaria stereosystem with four speakers :D

You have a vivid imagination Dennis :D , but it does indeed look just like they ARE!!

Nuga, the Edition S sounds like it will be good. The original stereo system sounds like a really good idea. So many older cars have had a modern CD player installed; an original one will be very unique (and original of course ). Where are you able to source parts for this, or have you already got them?

Cheers

Yes, I already got them :D LSD was the hardest part, but I found one for very reasonable price ;)

Hmmm... a bit odd though.... if your Edition S is original, it should already have the power steering and green tinted windows...???

But looks like a proper rebuild - keep up the great work!!

As far as I know, power steering and tinted windows were not standard edition s equipment. Most of them don't have power steering
Anders, where is your information coming from?
