Did you get a good deal on the sound deadening? I've bought some, but supplier has run out and I only have enough for one side.

New engine arrived yesterday ....... The happiness was short lived. It was sent on pallet with all inlets left un covered. The pics below are inlet ports 1,4 and 5. This is what midland bmw parts sent out as 89k still in car can be heard running. Absolute lying c@£-s the lot of them with a serious attitude problem. I'm sure a m52 is not meant to go in it.

Shit.

I think the only way to be sure, is to buy a whole car and rip the engine out yourself. I know it's a hassle, but gotta be better than this mate.

That engine has been out in the rain for weeks. Utterly unacceptable

Yes spoke to them. They are collecting it and going to look in to it. ( won't have to look hard ). It's obviously taken time to get in such a state but I can't believe they sent it out like that and put it on pallet with all the ports left open. No apology, kiss my arse or anything and wouldn't say they are sending the one I saw or refunding me they want to investigate. What they need to do is investigate which clown would leave ports open to the elements in the first place let alone post it that way. Needless to say I'm really naffed off.
Yes mark I think running and driving is the way forward but all I wanted really was a engine that didn't sound like a sewing machine for the rally then look at s54 or turbo in the winter.

I'm amazed how many business that make a living out of BMWs are so full of shit. :wtf
