People are always looking for faster engines and stiffer suspensions but yes, that is where your biggest improvements will be, for any of us. The nut holding the steering wheel!

Had a good run out at Brands hatch over Easter weekend and then this weekend back at Snetterton again.

Car is now a bit lower and has a proper 6 plated motorsport LSD sideloader at the back.
I've tweaked the geometry as well to get the tyre to work evenly across the tread.

Results are I've knocked nearly 5 seconds off my previous best at Snetterton (2m 18.145s vs a 2m 22.921s)

Its nice to get some seat time so most of the improvement is in my confidence with what the car can do.

I'll post up some pics and video later.

Cheers

Ben

On board a very quick Holden Monaro V8 supercar (like the Aussie supercars):

and the two races from offboard:

I'll get my onboards uploaded at home tonight.

Yes lots of quick cars, the orange escort is running an AJP race TVR v8
The mini has a Saab 2.3 turbo engine.

Yes, the engine is the cars strong point at the moment.
Only 10mph off the Monaro at the end of the straights and he's got close to 700bhp :shock

Thanks, just looks slow compared to how it feels in the car.

Got 4 weeks to wait before Silverstone National on 1st 2nd of June.

Cheers

Yrah, those onboards always look slow, that's true. We also have that on the Eifel trip. You can't see the speed until we overtake a car that drives regular the speedlimit.

Well looks like I missed some changes to the car over the winter before 2019 and Brands hatch.

I worked on modifying the rear beam to reduce camber even more which allowed me to lower the whole car about 25mm.
This then meant reducing the depth of the front splitter which is now flush with the front subframe.
No good pics but the slimmer splitter can be seen in this pic at brands.

Comprison with older version here:
