BMW Primer Paint Code 000 Availability

Post by Dodgers »

Hello,

Does anyone know where you can get BMWs standard primer, it’s very specific and my E21 and both my E30s have the same colour light grey primer.
I’m not sure if it’s just not possible to get or perhaps a third party are selling it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

It's a standard RAL color, just don't have the number on file atm. Perhaps Ite happens to see this, he might still have the correct number. Fingers crossed!

That would be ideal if I could get the RAL colour. It seems like BMW only use/show one primer (000) I’m surprised I can’t readily find a supplier who sells that colour primer.
All the BMWs I have require floor work etc and want to use the same colour light grey so it looks OEM as they don’t seem to have sprayed the the base coat inside, just overspray, it’s just me being picky.
Thanks for the info, I can see some suppliers that will tint a primer (white generally) to a RAL code so would be good to get the exact one or I can take a piece into a paint shop to match. Cheers

I Will search tonight.
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Awesome! I I do have a panel that has just the primer on that I could get matched if you can’t find it!

I found Motip 45270 but please check before ordering, I'm not 100% sure this is the one but this is all I could find at the moment, sadly part of our stuff is currently in storage.
