New member - 1979 320i in golf yellow - Seattle

Hi all,

I bought another member's golf yellow e21 (@yacob555). The car needs some work, mainly the clutch gave out so currently having that diagnosed.

After that, I plan to give the exterior some TLC then if all goes to plan, would like to replace the suspension with some bilsteins, and if possible find some recaro seats.

Anyways, longtime BMW fan (bikes too) and I am based in Seattle. Looking forward to learning from the community!

Welcome, and congrats! I've always loved Golf yellow and cherish the memories of my old 320. Quite a few press photos of Golf yellow cars around too, will try to share a few.

Clutch and mainly clutch hydraulics are notorious, but it's no rocket science. Enough suspension parts still around so shouldn't be too hard to do some upgrades there. Recaro seats may be harder to source though, but they're definitely an upgrade.

Thanks for the welcome! I regularly visit NL for work, and the first time I saw an E21 was up in Den Helder - which led me to buying one back home here in the states.

If you ever catch wind of an easy source to get euro bumpers to the states, please let me know
