The rear coils where still on the car. So I took them off.
Topbearing
The other side of that. Pretty much dead.
Some bad spots under the car:
Sanded, brushed and in the rustico.

And on! In february 2016 I took some stuff to the powdercoater and got it back a few days later! See my tanks and subframes!
The tank was a surprise. No rust at all, so it came out like brandnew. But as I unwrapped the tank, so idiot worker at the powdercoater ducktaped the opening for sandblasting, but forfot to remove it before powdercoating. #areyoustupid?
So that went for repairs.
The fuelunit taken apart and I had it rezincked. It came out really nice!
Put together again and soldered the wire to place. New gaskets are ordered.
The hose that ran over the tank had a little suprise aswell. Of course, after almost 30 years it is solid as a rock, but the surprise was in how it ran over the tank.
Over the othe hose and clamp. Dents the hose but looks alright.
But then the otherside… it is squeezed for about 80%. Now I get it, why my fuel pump is always making noise when I need power. It is sucking for petrol….
So, new hoses on, and like they did in the factory, some tape over it.
This time right.
Connecting tube installed

New and old stabi. The new red one is the Eibach anti roll kit:
The stabi links are gone.
And installed
Steering rods. Both are worn, so I got two new ones.
Old and new
Lots of wear and nog grease anymore.
The new one is a little different
It has been tempered with before. The lockingplate is broken and someone has hit the steeringrack itselve for a few times…
It must have been some nono. How hard can it be? You screw on the new rod and bend the lockingplate. Instead of doing that, you take a hammer and start hitting away more than an inch from the spot you should hit…

For the swingarmholders I used e36 rubbers, because they are more solid.
Swingarms on.
After that I assembled the front legs. A squeeze of motoroil in the leg, Bilstein B6 in and de central but on.
I did not have the proper tool for locking the nut. But I do have a welding machine and some scrapmetal. So now I have this.
Works like a charm
All the components before the spring goes on.
And done.
Installed.

Once the legs where on, the strut could be installed.
After that I installed the new bearing on the driveshaft. The old one was worn and died.
I got the hold of a couple ABS sensors fort he rearside. NOS for just a small part of the dealerprice. So I ordered the frontside ones aswell. All new and fresh!
And just for fun, this picture:
I placed the old and leaking shock on one of the old tyres. The oil inside the shock is pretty aggressive…
