Re: Project 326i
Can you tell me please how standard 323i k-jetronic submits high revs with increased displacement of engine? Is there any lack of fuel?
I want to make K-Jet 2.6-2.7 M20 but with 325 head(885), 325 manifold, pistons etc.
What do you (or anybody else with that practice) think, what is the better choice? Just in case of intake mixture flow?

Re: Project 326i
K-jet is mechanical fuel injection and can be "opened".
If you really manage to lack with fuel, go for 911 K-jet (or better, switch to motronic or some standalone)
Mine K-jet was in good condition (not perfect) and I really didn't like fuel consumption. Than I switched to L-jet from 323i E30 and all I can say is it was good upgrade.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Re: Project 326i
With Alpina achieving 170 BHP from the stock fuell dizzy in the C1 I think it can do a bit more, 170-180-ish. If you want to go further using K-Jet you can use the larger Porsche 930 series dizzy as indicated by Mihajlo, that has been done more often on stronger 2.7 conversions for example by Hartge. That should easily get it to 215-220 BHP.

My opinion, go for the motronic or standalone, yes its a timely and costly effort, but you'll have the power the engine can produce...

Yes and no haha. Motronic or standalone will most likely work best, provide to be reliable and is likely to give a higher output. But if you'd like to retain original looks, it is good to know there are options for that!

Re: Project 326i
my old 327i was k jet adn it was quicker that a 325i e30.
all of these fuel systems have headroom, the mixture on a k jet will not go wrong with more displacement because it will just read more air flow air a lower load/rpm than before. i think 180-190hp could be achieved with an unmodified k jet

Don't forget the Schnitzer turbo used K-Jet as well, that made 200bhp
From memory the injector can supply fuel for about 50bhp per injector. Or 300bhp for six.
I would guess the main limitations of K-Jet for much over 200bhp are the air flow restrictions through the metering unit and filter box.

Re: Project 326i
Wow, what a party has been here. I love the k-jet. Why? It's a simple system with one of the best throttle response. Niall and Duracell was right, but mention one more reference: the Callaway 323i turbo with 280 horses, and yes, with k-jet, with an additional injector. (I think they used the cold start injector on higher revs) Someone loves the electronic engine management, someone (like me) not. If your injectors good, go for it, you will not regret it. If
