Time for a small update!
A good while back I bought a 323 sport steering wheel. Can't remember if it was off here or ebay. Anyway, seemed to be in OK condition, but still thought I would get it recovered (using the same colour thread as on seats), and turned out to be pretty rotten inside..
Yes, the white stuff is smelly mould
My guy is good though, and this is what it looks like now.
Looking forward to getting it mounted.

E39's are great cars, I'm on my third now, a 530d sport touring and it's by far the best works van I've ever owned! I'd love that diesel engines power and torque in my E21 but it's such an electronics dependant thing it'd be a nghtmare, and it would probably ruin the handling. Torque by other means required.........
