Maybe its better to keep it now as it is.
Specially for the e12 section its ok, because there no alternative.
For almost all other modells is already a forum to be found.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Hi, Ite,
I tend to agree, but I think that the E28, like any sharknose deserves a good discussion platform. That what currently exists generally is poor or too limited. For example, the Dutch E28 forum is very poorly managed with an adminstrator that has no personal stake in these cars anymore and a leadership style that is above all very directive. This may work for some of the E28 owners, but will distract others.
I think, but that is my vision that a platform that aims towards owners and enthusiasts of Sharknose BMW's is essential. In what sequence and what timeline is the question and also open to debate. I agree that it should be at least well-spaced, with the E12 being a good candidate for being the first and the E28 and E24 placed in second.
Rgrds,
Raymond

Agree on the existing e28 and e23 forum.
Problem with these models is that there are too many owners without any manors at all.
So maybe is a subforum for the 5 series a good item.

Re: POLL: do we need more subforums?!
I have no problem creating an E23 or E28 subsection, I think especially the E28 is pretty popular with members here, but I'm not sure if that will be enough to create a forum that will see some regular activity.
A completely different option is to use SharknoseMeeting.com. Website is active, there is a database connected to it, we could easily use that to set up a general Sharknose fans forum there, and both forum and event can mutually benefit from that. However, I'm not going to run that, I haven't got the time. If someone in our regular audience is willing and able to set that up and also manage that as admin/moderator, I'd be happy to transfer some rights.

What about a general mechanical/ fabrication project topic. A lot of info tends to get lost in off topic, so things like trailers, other car projects, tooling, lathes, Mills, newer bmw, could all be Grouped.??
I think a lot of people on here have skills that could be shown and adapted.

That's a great idea, I'm forever making odds and sods that whilst not E21 specific, could be adapted and therefore be of interest.

OK so a topic named "general mechanical / fabrication projects" here under Off Topic?

I´ve voted something else
There is no E32 forum so if we could get a little space to hang arround here, that would be nice
