Post by tommi_e21 »

well i finally paid for my arches from bob in germany and with a bit of luck they should be here this week coming, hopefully tomorrow. well i started anyway, fitted my new front wings and the bumper which i bought of jason a while back now, only held on via a couple o screws at the mo because will have to paint first or atleast get it prepped. well heres the first pic anyway, more to follow soon i promise when the arches arrive

oh and i found a guy who is banding my rear wheels out to fit the arches, £110 with delivery to make my rear wheels 11" wide :) thats 7 inchs of dish baby!

''Google translate'' is pretty accurate for e-mails. I used it to do the deal on my rims in Germany.

well i picked up my 6 point roll cage for the e21 today so atleast i have something to do while im still waiting for the bloody arches! gonna finish striping the interior of the 21 tomorrow night and have a quick trial fit. not sure if i wanna bolt the cage in or weld it, think i might weld it as it will be stronger and actuall offer some support to the vehicle,
will take some pics of the cage when i can so you can all see. its not fia approved or anything and is made by company called ally bars, but im gonna add some extra bars for strength i think. will take advice on where those bars need to be though

I used to have an ally bars cage in my first racer 2002. Was actually made from ally too and really light. Then the regs changed and it was only any good for looks. Wish I could find one for the e21 but with a bolt-on diagonal. I think a bright orange cage would look nice. 8)

So, when you gonna go over and see zee germans?
