Re: 316 - 1977 - petroscf - Greece
Mostly a technical question. Asking for a friend:
He wants to change the radio antenna.
Or he just wants to remove it. I am not sure.
How can he reach the inside of the panel? It seems that the antenna is not detachable from the cable? Or I understood something wrong

There are two phillips head screws halfway the a pillar, this is where a bracket holds the antenna. Rest goes inside the left front wing, if you turn the LF wheel completely to the left, or even better: remove it, you can remove the mudguard and see and reach inside the wing.

Coming back to this:uwbuurman wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 4:16 pm Indeed, that is an engine damper for M10 egnines in an e21. And if you don't have it on your car, I would say to mount it. There are two types, by the way. The Walloth link that you profided gives BMW number 11811245574. At bmwfans.info you can find out if its belongs fo your car.
I still haven't found the rest of parts required to mount this, so I only still have the main part (damper) in my hands
As I guess (and please correct me if I am mistaken) that this is good to soften the vibration of the engine (right??) and my engine produces quite a lot of vibration especially when pushed a bit hard, could anyone advise where might the parts be found?

Re: 316 - 1977 - petroscf - Greece
I am looking for this:
https://www.wallothnesch.com/en/rubber- ... 1-06.html
I have some from Walloth und Nesch but a couple of them that I tried would not match, and both were broken when I used more pressure in order to make them fit
Unless I am doing something wrong while trying to install them
So please, if anyone has any idea, where to order proper ones, or how do these fit without breaking, any reply will be appreciated

I fitted a pair of new ones to my '83 a couple of years ago without any issues. I think they came from Walloth. I can take a pic of mine both fitted and removed to see if it's the same as yours?

I don't know, it was impossible to press them, they seemed to be a bit smaller and when I used pressure, both of them were torn, plastic material cracked and opened
Should I heat them up a bit perhaps first, that was a thought that came to me but I am asking here first

Carefully pushed it off and it went back on easily enough. I'm wondering if these are genuine BMW ones and Walloth sells copies of inferior plastic?

I also believe these are bad copies as it can easily be seen that they are made out of a hard plastic and not rubber (as it is called on W+N description!)
However, on your picture they seem to be exactly the same (colour, thickness etc)
I will also upload a picture of mine

I had some from W&N and those were ok. So I would get in contact with W&N, reclaiming your money or demanding some new ones.

The ones supplied by the dealer, back in stock recently, are even worse, even harder plastic. And more expensive than WN.
