E21 Maintenance schedule
(according to BMW dealership standards)
Inspection I - every 15.000 kms or 12 months
Change spark plugs
Oil & oil filter change
Check oil levels of
transmission/gearbox/diff/power steering/brakes
Check coolant level and check for leaks
Check battery acid levels
Change brake fluid at least once every 12
months
Check belts for fan/air con/power steering
Adjust valve clearances
Change air intake filter
Inspection II - every 30.000 kms or 24 months
(additional work)
Change oil from tranmission/gearbox/diff
Replace oil filter automatic gearbox
Change coolant at least once every 24
months
Inspect ignition, rotor and distributor cap
Overall (safety) inspection on brakes,
clutch, bushings, etc.
