320/6 engine rebuild with M20B23 block

Hello everyone, need your feedback,

I have an 82 320/6 with an original 250.000 km. It’s time for a rebuild and I have access to a M20B23 block, cylinders and crankshaft in great condition. I want to do the rebuild using this block, keeping the original carb. Does the cooling system need an upgrade? Is it viable to keep the 320/6 exhaust? What else do I have to keep in mind doing this upgrade?

¡Thanks for your help!

No, straight swap. Nothing to it. Use the right head, and swap the shaft that drives the manual petrol pump in the b20 in stead of the ignition on the b23.

I hope your M20b23 comes with good pistons, they're not interchangable.

As far as I understand, it is dropping the old block and using a complete 2.3 block combined with b20 head and carb and all other parts. Rob is right on using pistons etc from one lower end in the other.
