Re: Gaydon 2012 - August 19th
Well my soak test of the Baur failed on the way home last night.
The clutch pedal had been feeling kinda funny although I wasn't sure if it was me having only driven autos for the last 4 years or so. Sure enough, the pedal went to the floor with no clutch action (right at a busy cross roads). Friendly people helped push me out of the way with comments like, "that's in good condition", "how old is it?", "I haven't seen one of these in years", "what a lovely colour", etc, etc.
Back at park ferme, found no clutch fluid in the m/c reservoir. Topped up, pumped the pedal & it went straight through the slave onto the floor. I'm hoping GSF have one in stock. Prices are £18 & £28 (GSF), £28 (ECP) & gawd knows from BMW. What's the difference?
Fingers crossed I can sort it in time for Gaydon.

Re: Gaydon 2012 - August 19th
Sorry guys but the Baur isn't going to make it. Fitted the new slave cylinder but can't get the flexi pipe to seal to the fixed pipe on the slave cylinder. Been trying all morning - guess the theads are just too corroded.
Unless you have something important to catch that is.
I'll wander over & catch up with you tomorrow.

Well there was one more than we were expecting.
I came over but there was only a couple around then I got tied up sorting out the hordes of E24's. Everybody seemed to shoot off early too.
Next year . . .
