This year's date was set at a late stage, for next year we'd like to do a better job! The next Sharknose Meeting is scheduled for Saturday May 24, 2014!

Every year the event has grown bigger and better, and 2014 will be special. Celebrating the event's 5th anniversary it will be bigger, better and more professional than ever! We are already working hard to make it special. In this thread we'll keep you up to date on developments, but make sure to block the date: Saturday May 24, 2014.

We already have registrations from the UK, Germany, Belgium, France, Denmark & Norway and I'm pretty sure there's many more to come!

Location
Getting together on a huge field -like we've done the past few years- definitely adds to the laid back meeting atmosphere. However, this was always a concern to us. If weather conditions would have been less favorable we're quite sure we'd have a lot less visitors and those who'd turn up would be in the mud. That's why we believe that this year's location suits the unpredictable Dutch weather much better and gives us new opportunities for growth. That's why we'll have the 2014 Sharknose Meeting in and around the Arnhem Rijnhal again.

For those who want to come over and spend a couple of days around the Sharknose Meeting, here's a few suggestions for things to do that are within a few hours of driving:

May 16-17-18: Spa Classic, Belgium
May 23-25: Acceleration 14 (see below), Nurburgring, Germany
May 24: Sharknose Meeting
May 25: Touristenfahrten, Nurburgring Nordschleife, Germany
May 26-27: RMA trackdays Spa, Belgium

I know we're not exactly bringing crowds to the UK events but still, we'd love to have a couple of you guys over here. We've seen Aydin a couple of times so he can be our ambassador haha, and a UK E12 this year. The other way around I need to be at Goodwood one day! This week's FOS is going to be awesome but too early for me, I might want to give that another try next year and if I make it I'd like to see if I can combine the FOS or Revival with a BMW event... but still that won't be before next year.

It may be uncomfortable on a long trip but I will be trying to get there in the Race car

I've done some longer trips in a race car, most important thing is to bring a few small pillows to sit on!

Good idea although I have a fair bit of cushioning built in at the moment .

Are there options for camping friday/sat night nearby or at the venue? been starting my plans.

At the venue prolly isn't allowed and also not facilitated, these places are abt 15 mins away from the site and have a website switchable to English as well:

We're thinking about making the event last longer so we can have a BBQ or snacks together at the end of the day. Makes a camping or hotel nearby even more worth while!

on that subject i think we should stay sunday aswell Ben and return home on the monday, ferries might be a bit cheaper aswell for a weekday??

Plan a day at the Nordschleife on Sun, only 2.5 hours from the venue...

This could work as Monday 26th is a Bank Holiday (UK) as well.
