Hello All,

Just a quick question re carpet. Here in Australia a company called knoxs carpet offer moulded loop pile carpet for the E21 which is great. My question relates to colour. My interior colour will be black, door panels, front and rear seats. The colour options for carpet are black or charcoal, the black has the correct size of loop pile and high quality, the charcoal has a bigger loop and not as good quality. What would you choose based on this information. Also, I do know from factory, all black interiors came with a charcoal loop pile carpet.

Love to hear your thoughts.

carpet gray, and black seats and panels... :)
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

I'm with Mihajlo, on facelifted examples the carpet is grey, I'd choose to retain original looks

My vote would be charcoal as well. I have had the Knox black carpet and it is good quality but for me too much black with black interior. The charcoal gives a bit of a break. Also give some thought to the headlining - black is too gloomy. For the may 18 run, I will take my Oz Alpina even though other groups want the e24 or e12. Look forward to catching up then.

YES I do like!
I took the corner at high speed, came in the ditch, drove straight through a garden, flipped over 4 times and then I lost control of my steering-wheel!

Hello All,

Here are some updated images of the finished interior of the car. Sourced late series rear headrest from ebay I could not be happier. On a side note I will be selling a earlier series bullhorn rear headrest. They are blue and will upload image soon.

The family & I took the E21 on a small road trip to the Hunter Valley of NSW which the wine region 2.5 hrs from Sydney. The car drove really well, however I am looking forward to putting the recaro seats I have purchased into the car. I have just changed the old radio which was a vulgar ugly CD player for a period BMW E30 radio cassette, it is a nice change to see the logo on the player and also matches up with the interior dash lights. Also, just purchased a BMW E21 sports steering wheel, BBS front spoiler and have sourced excellent front and rear bumper bars. I will have to stop now, it is slightly addictive this E21. I will add all these goodies in the new year.
