I looked at a # of cars on the french site and every listing only had 3 pics. This same car listed a second time with two different pictures and the head again...the owner must be excited about the engine rebuild?

Walter,

Please excuse the long delay here I started a new job, got COVID with mild symptoms, recovered 100%, confirmed I have antibodies, turned 50 years old and can't believe it is mid February already.

I am in the process of making a purchase the owner took a while to get me pictures and I plan to meet him soon to see the car in person and drive it. It's a 1980 323i Alpina with 226KM imported to CA from Holland (he told me the date of import but cannot recall at the moment).

I am not sure how to insert an image here...I am sure it is user error.

More to come.

From the Netherlands? Oh, now you need to post pics for sure. If we know the car, we might have some older pics of it.

I have a photo on the internet (google photos) and am inserting the link in between brackets but the image fails to load. I am guessing this is still user error.

You have to use some external data storage, i.e. Photobucket. The forum itself can’t host photos etc. If you check the link UwBuurman posted, I am sure you will manage!

The photo is on external google photo site the link is public and works but will not load...

I have confirmed that the car was imported from Holland and it is confirmed by VIN # that it was NOT at the Alpina factory but it does have all the C1 2.3 interior: Recaro seats with Alpina cloth, identification plate on the dash; exterior: 15" wheels, stripe, front and rear spoilers. Of course it has the M20 engine, but don't know right now about the compression/injection mods or the brake and suspension items that are part of the C1 2.3 kit. Does not have the 100 litre fuel tank. The current owner and I are speculating that maybe this conversion was done by P.J. Oldenhof. Is that shop still in existence? Possible to trace the car through them?
