And as posted in the Dutch section, this is the result after fitting the Weber. Adjusting on hear and feeling without the CO-meter, is running even nicer at this moment:

If mine picks up speed as fast, and sounds as nice as that ill be very happy My E21 with the solex on couldnt even keep up with my van at present! Looking forward to giving the engine a good service and putting the Weber on. Looks like ive been sent the autochoke DGAS version of the carb, it seems to have all the water choke housing on. No messing about with putting cables through the dash anyway so thats good. Hopefully try fitting it this weekend if the sun comes out for a while

Got rained off on the weekend for fitting the carb. Managed to give the car a good service though. Does anyone have a picture of a 320/6 intake manifold without the carb on ? Just want to get an idea of what nuts & bolts ill need to buy in. Am i right in thinking there are 4 long studs from the mating face of the manifold that go all the way through the solex and bolt it on from the top ?

Yep, that sounds about right afaik.

If you check my old Baur thread I think I covered fitting a Weber in there somewhere?

Think you did mate but all i could find was a pic of the carb fitted. From the drawing on the weber diagram sheet i got with the carb, its fitted to the manifold with 4 short studs. I remember seeing an old 320/6 manifold and it had 4 long studs coming out of where the carb would sit. Do those need removing and swapping for the shorter studs to fit the weber ?

sorry, know you mentioned this before in the thread. Do those long studs just screw out ?

my old 320 manifold went to the scrappers along time ago, but yeah there was 4 m8 studs stickin up like 90/100mm to bolt the carb on.
should just screw out. tighten up two nuts on to them to lock them on then use them to undo the studs.

Yep, old studs just screwed as Murran said and fit shorter ones.
