Re: Mark's Tango'd 323i
Spent £1.16 on ebay and got this in the post today. It's a catalogue introducing BMW motorsport from 1978 and an e21 sales brochure and colour chart. I might try and get it scanned if anyone wants to see more detail?

I'll ask e21meister to do it as he's pretty good with a scanner.

Re: Mark's Tango'd 323i
Spoke to a chap who lives near me today and he's going to refurb' my Ronal Turbo alloys. I'm having the whole face of the rim diamond cut and polished so they should look really nice.
He's going to do my Alpina rims too. I did think about having the lip diamond cut so that they look a little different? If not, it'll be the regular satin silver finish with new centre caps and bolt-in valves. He said to budget on £45 per rim which seems pretty good to me.
Bought a pair of new front wings yesterday. The guy listed them as 2002 wings but 10 minutes before the auction ended it was pointed out they were e21 items! £30 the pair! Bargain!

Re: Mark's Tango'd 323i
Will get scans done asap.
After hitting my exhaust on the mother of all speed humps I thought I might as well fit something with a bit less resistance to flow. When I last put the car on a dyno they suggested I replace the silencers as my engine had more to give. Anyway, I opted for 2 much smaller silencer boxes with a three quarter inch increase in bore size. As a result, my car certainly sounded more raspy. I wasn't expecting much difference really but peak power is up 9bhp to 194bhp with 214ft/lbs of torque.
I am well pleased with the results and it sounded awesome through the tunnel on the way home. It was dark by the time I got home but I'll post photos & dyno sheets tomorrow.
While the car was on the ramp I changed the LSD oil. It's only been a few thousand since the last change and the old oil still looked remarkably clean & clear. I'd like to have it rebuilt at some point but it will have to wait till next year.
I'm really looking forward to clocking up a few miles driving in Wales next month. Hopefully, I'll get some good video footage and along with the 02' crowd, we are planning a weekends driving for next year if anyone fancies coming along?

Any chance of a vid with some audio? Is the hole system bigger bore than stock?

Re: Mark's Tango'd 323i
I'll try and video it tomorrow but my camera isn't much cop so I'm not sure how good the audio is likely to be? The paint always comes out looking red too as you can see here...
Re: Mark's Tango'd 323i
Video don't do your motor justice Mark. Those little silencers sound the nutz too! Especially trying to keep it in a strait line of a frosty road!
Cheers for today bud.

Re: Mark's Tango'd 323i
New silencers. Less weight, more flow and sound awesome.
