Maybe we could organize an e21.net weekend where we all hook up and drive some roads in North Wales?

Don't like the tyres, too narrow for the wheels.

Well I figured the Schrick cam I had would work better if it was actually fitted in the head so I dropped my car off with Eta BMW this morning. http://www.etamotorsport.co.uk/ I figured that I might have some head issues as hydro-carbons were high and it just sounded a bit cammy. I figured it might be valve adjustment after Mr Murrans input on another thread? Anyway, I dropped it off and asked them to check it out.

It seems as though my suspicions were correct. The inlet valves were OK but the exhaust valves are pretty shot and not seating properly. As a result the head needs to have the seats re cut and the valves lapped in I assume? I imagine, with the head being as it was, it wouldn't have been making anywhere near full power? Would I also burn oil? The good news is that the bottom end is all in fine fettle! So, come Saturday it should come back and be breathing a little more easily / deeply! I'm obviously hoping that the cam will see me the right side of 200bhp or at least close to that figure.

Seems the head is just back from the engineering shop and everything is being slotted back together as we speak. I'm hoping it might be ready by tomorrow morning? If not, it'll be Monday. I want to try and get it booked into a local dyno too, so I can see if I've finally cracked 200bhp?
