Nar not just yet, still a fair bit to get done first. Plus I need a battery and the cable i ran to the boot turned out to be shite.
It would'nt run straight away as the plug on the fuel rail was dodgy, so we swapped that out and then it fired nicely. There was a really bad knocking and i was worried that the oil pump was knackered and no oil was getting pushed around the engine. That turned out to be the crank pulley knocking on the timing belt housing. Other than those couple of niggles its running sweet. Loads of tidying up now before mot time

good job we had another injector wiring loom to fit. was deffo something dodgy about that first one being corroded and full of sealer shite.
and me not fitting the camcover quite right causing that noise. d'head!
didnt take any pictures did we?

need to bring you this bloody throttle cable that i forgot yesterday at some point!

dont think that cheapo jump lead wire is good enough. the wire core in it isnt big enough to take the current needed to crank it over.
i wouldnt mind knowing why both those starters are noisy too!

:)
Been tidy'in up a bit o'wiring this morning. Took out the connector blocks and soldered everything together. Put the 101 plug jobby where the previous live point was and moved that across a tad, not made my mind up if thats where its all going to stay though.

in the loom theres a big ass rubber gromit that used to go in the hole thru the e30 baulkhead. you need a hole to fit this big ass gromit in. get your verniers out and measure it dude.

what did you sort out chip wise?
also, what do you think about that starter noise? i dont think its right. if the starters not meshing correctly with the flywheel ring gear it'll be wearing it out. we need to look into this!
