a working speedo isnt part of the mot. tho theres lots of changes coming next year.... alot of them are still proposed changes tho. i dunno if a speedo is one of them yet.

What else do I need to do apart from bolt it in?

It is going to have to be a 318is m42 engine .As i drove over to bradford to collect a e30 318is inlet manifold that i won on ebay yesterday and the 100 mile round trip only used about £12 in petrol in the e36 318is that i have at the minute in a car which is 40% heavier than a e21.I can't imagine how much petrol a e21 with the m10 2ltr engine would get through ! ...most likely enough to make me want to cry. more power for less petrol seems a good idea to me...edd

Its not a bad project for someone . I have just scrapped a e30 316i which i was going to convert to m42 power so now the e30 has gone i am going to use the parts i have collected to convert my e21 to the 16v engine..edd
