Gaydon 2012 - August 19th

Post by e21-Mark »

I know we're not quite in March yet but thought if I mentioned Gaydon now it would give people time to plan ahead.

Judging by recent photos & threads there's no reason why this year couldn't have the biggest turn out of e21's in years! There are lots of modified & OE examples that would make an excellent display & hopefully increase interest in the model. ALL e21's would be welcome. Especially any 'work in progress' as they inspire other people to do their own cars!

So, who's up for going to Gaydon this year?

I heard from the BMW Car Club today and they are asking if there are specific requests from individual registers? I would really like to push for the e21 to be given a more central position for the stand. Maybe even lining the main entrance route? In order for a request to be taken seriously though, I need to be able to give an idea of numbers? I'm confident that the usual suspects will be there (Cobbler, m3gaz, Nas, Duracell, Jason etc) but can I persuade the rest of you to come along and represent the e21?

It would be great to get all e21's along no matter what stage they are at. I am hoping that the sister TWR car will be there and maybe we can persuade a couple of B6 owners to make the trip? I can see there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to get at least 20 cars, going by previous years and the number of UK cars registered here.

So, come on guys! Who can come along for the day in August?

I'll be there.I don't think there's any reason that a dozen or more E21's can't be at Gaysville this summer. :takepicture
