Hey guys I'm new here new to the e21 world but not to bmw's at all I just picked up a clean 320is from a friend and since I already have my e30 as a racecar I'm going all form on this one. my idea is to go absolutely the lowest I can possible I don't care if I keep the stock wheels for now for fender Clearence but I need advise I want to be static scraping subframe and I'm fine with that lol sounds crzy but that's what my goal is I was thinking of useing the ground control kit and building some insane low coilovers my self but my Delma is the shocks which ones can go that low and still have travil and be stiff as much as possible and second is price I'm not one a strict budget per say I was thinking if I parted it togeather I can get all of it for around 600-1000$ any ideas build threads to point me into the right direction thanks guys

you just need really short coilovers, perhaps if you rang a custom suspension place they might be able to help?

I can get things fabbed up for me but I rather save money and do it my self and no I love bags it's just not in the cards right now plus there's just a feeling you get when you pull up to another car and they are like is that even possible lol idk more fun than anything

its entirely possible.
i have my coilovers wound down only half way and theres like only 3-4"" of ground clearence in places. so im pretty sure if you get something a little custom then you can do it mate - although LOL at your crazy ideas. go for it dude.

decent coil overs will get the front subframe on the deck, but the real issue is the track control arms hit the chassis rails before it gets that low. To get some mega lows you have to notch the chassis rail the front and raise the rear sub frame unless you want the back end VIP style.

my coilovers are fully adjustable.. if i want to change the spring rate ill just go buy harder springs..

I am currently building my own coil overs using Golf mk2 and 3 parts. They are cheap to come by. The rear ones fit as they are (almost) but they are a bit longer than the original item and will give you around 60mm of lowering. So shortening the strut may be a solution for you wich is a rather simple operation. Front ones is where you use the threaded parts and springs from the Golf, and weld on to your existing E21 front strut. This could also require shortening. Last but not least, i have seen some that mount the rear axle further up under the car so they wont get the redicoulously looking weird camber tilt, but thats all down to taste and style i guess. Personally i´d rather have the entire width of my tyre touching the tarmac when driving around
