Sharknose Meeting 2013: Sa June 8

The weather forecast is absolutely brilliant and we're already expecting over 300 cars. Again we'll have a ball and already 52 E21's registered. Since we have a few unregistered examples coming from Germany as well, we could easily have more than 70 E21's this Sat!

Any of the UK-cars will be joining? I know a group of 15-20 will drive from Germay, so it is possible!

I was only there for a couple of hours in the morning nice and sunny.
Lots of all different cars.
There was 1 car from UK but did not see the owner.
Hope to be there next year and close to the ring

Turnout
Surely the great weather has played a role in matching last years' succes and numbers. Slightly less Dutch cars but an increase number of cars from Belgium and Germany. It was great to see seamlessly endless rows of Sharknoses sorted by type, the sales square filled to the brim and most of all, so many happy faces! Again we saw an amazing atmosphere of shared passion and many, many wonderful cars!

Location
Getting together on a huge field -like we've done the past few years- definitely adds to the laid back meeting atmosphere. However, this was always a concern to us. If weather conditions would have been less favorable we're quite sure we'd have a lot less visitors and those who'd turn up would be in the mud. That's why we believe that this year's location suits the unpredictable Dutch weather much better and gives us new opportunities for growth. That's why we chose for this location and we're 99% sure we can celebrate the Sharknose Meeting's 5th anniversary in 2014 in and around the Arnhem Rijnhal again.

Organisation
The event is organized by q whole team of volunteers and they spent a lot of time on making the event possible. Promotion, event licensing, insurance, finding sponsors, building a website and direct things on the day itself. Then there was a crew of people that would invest a few hours of help, and all of them helped us out from the beginning to the end. Thanks to all for helping making this event a success!

Next Year
As announced, 2014 marks the 5th anniversary of the Sharknose Meeting and that is a good reason to make it the best one yet! We're already working on that and we have some plans and parties that is going to make that happen for sure! Our newfound Rijnhal location gives us opportunities for a big leap forward and that's what we're going to do! And we've already set a date: Saturday May 24, 2014. Better block that day right now!
