Personally I think the Motorsport front end (like Jasons above) looks great, but the rear end just looks like there's something missing, which obviously there is - the bumper. Also means you lose the rear number plate lamps and added ones look a bit clumsy. Just my opinion though obviously.

Lucky I have a motorsport bumper that just needs some paint ready to go on, quite like the missing rear end look in an odd way though, think its my previous interest in minis and beetles that has kindled this though!

I've done this to two of mine now, I used to love the look and still do to some extent but I regret doing it to my black 316. My grey 323i though I'm still pleased with it, especially keeping the side strips.

My car isn't finished yet, but I've had my valance smoothed off.

Side strips and rear bumper will remain, but a de-bumpered, single headlight E21 has such a look of the 2002 that I couldn't resist.

That looks really nice - love the early e21 front valance. I've always though they were much nicer than the late one with the smaller slots.

Still - the lack of bumper scares me - the leading edge of the bonned seems really exposed if you happen to hit something!

I'm with e21-Mark on the rear, but each to their own.

Not my taste (I'm into 100% stock right now) but the removed bumper does give older BMWs that "racer" look which is very cool.

What do you cover the mounting holes with?

It would worry me that the first point of contact on the front of the car is the bonnet.

Yea I was wondering that too. Without the bumper there don't the holes on the side do your head in?

I'm going to sort something out to cover that.

Once bolted up, it doesn't look that bad anyway.

For US spec, I think without them is a huge improvement. Over here think the car just looks incomplete without them
