4-way flasher

Post by engrrick »

I ordered a 4-way flasher from FCPEuro, according to the REALOEM.COM site's part number. However, the part was not correct. The unit I have has many prongs in the back, whereas the indicated unit has only three. I have included pictures to see if anyone can identify the unit that was in my car. This unit would not stay in the "in" or "off" position which is why I need a new one. Thanks to anyone who can ID this.

I cannot seem to be able to upload the pictures, so until I figure that out, the number on the front of the flasher, around the red push button is SAE Q74 DKS-G. There are 7 connectors on the back, and a resister across two of them.

Hi Rick,

The pics you mention seem to be missing. There's an easy DIY fix it guide, step-by-step somewhere on the forum here. I am a true no know on technical issues, but even I succeeded in fixing this switch (I suppose it's the hazard switch you're talking about?).

Good luck,

Greetz,
Walter.

For posting pics, right at the top of the General section there are instructions mate, don't know where else to put them to prevent them from being overlooked.
