Hi

First i use camber/castor adjustable topmounts, ground control USA

the front subframe is modified to move the pivot up 40mm and out 25mm this gives a far better roll centre

the front control arms are modified with spherical bearing and adjustable length, anti roll bar is custom

The tie rods have been extended for the extra track

standard e36 wheel fitted under rolled arches

Now I have 17x9 et -12 which extended arches

i think i will also move my trailing arm outward just like you jason, not sure yet, because i do not want to spend money on a custom stabilizer arm.

did a lot of cleaning and painting, put some new rubbers in the trailing arms. when you don't want to spend money, making stuff as new cost a lot of time, pff!

hi,

i am to busy with work, school, and graduating. so not a lot of time for the beemer. but yesterday i wanted to put her on wheels, so i bolted the rear axle to the car in a simple way. i noticed that i need to do some more fender rolling.
and i can do some measurements to define how wide i want the front te be.

i bought some e36 front brakes. i think i will go whith these because then i dont need to make/buy adapters for the brakes etc. not 100% sure yet.

pivotpoint of LCA is raised upwards and gone outside, sorry bad phonecamera. e36 steering rack is in highest possition to minimize bump steer.

mounted e28 m535i diff to see how mounting point will be welded.

i hope to do small progress every week.

I like what you did with the front suspension. How did you fit the anti roll bar?

Good one about the ARB but I like the uniball stuff. Make sure to make a decent mount for the diff as well, perhaps make a triangle brace from the strut towers to keep it all in place nicely?

What is ARB?

The install on the rear diff is very rigid. I goes full trough the chassis with the stud. On top there is the battery holder integrated with some triangular constructed piping joining the 2 rear strut mounts.

I am redoing the front subframe design as i am not happy with it. trailing arms will stay the same but this is more the mounting of the trailing arms.

Because the car is so long in the garage i changed my plans. I want to drive it as soon as possible. I dont care if need to do concessions to realise this or that minor things are not done in this stage, for example i will not do the roll cage in this stage because i have no budget.

Will update will new pics soon

the back with fuel tank is done. only needs detailling and some final mounts.

this is start of my new subframe and my redone mounting point for rear pivotpoint of my custom front trailing arms. Much hapier with this stud instead of a small box i made to fit a bolt/nut. Will try to finisch the mounting of the pivot points this week and setup the position of the the steering rack.
