BMW E12/28 535i 1973
A E12 subforum ... the perfect place to present one of my previous projects.
It was 1997 when I got the idea to hide a complete E28 M535i inside the shell of a 1973 E12.
So I went to buy 2 cars.
Took them both apart and made all the necessary changes to the E12 body to fit the e28 internals, which was a lot.

Nice conversion and attention to detail! So where's the car today?
Regards/groeten, Jeroen
Re: E12/28 535i
I drove it from 2002 (the day it was finished) until 2011. Then I decided to pass it on to a German guy. Don't know if he still has it.
I passed it on, mainly because it was not completely legal to drive a car with these conversions, in Belgium. That worried me more every time I drove it. So it seemed like a good idea to sell it, but it wasn't.

Nice!
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Very nice restauration, great look!

Wondering what happened to my E21, considering bying it back should it just be sitting somewhere, I've contacted the buyer.
He's still taking very good care of the car. It had small accident damage on the front, and he did a good repair. New hood (fl), new wings, a complete respray and all chrome new. New mirrors, bumpers front and rear etc.
This is how it looks now. I would have choses different wheels though.

It's a very nice car, but the rims are not my style.
It even had a 250ps engine in it.

is it the same car? now it has a type 2 nose on it ???
Re: BMW E12/28 535i 1973
Yes, definitely the same car. I received other pic's of the interior from the guy I sold it to.
Don't know why he chose to use a type 2 nose after his accident. Maybe type 1 is nla
