Engine mounts for 1983 316 - UK

I want to replace the engine mounts on the E21 (I am in the UK). I have found a right hand side one for the 315 but it appears to have a lower rating (0.7lbs vs 1.1lbs - what does this refer to?).Will this be ok on the 316 - I assume anything will be better than the 30year old ones on there now!

However I can't find a replacement for the left hand side. There is one in Austrailia however with shipping it will cost over £60 which seems excessive for one engine mount. Does anyone know of a suitable source in the UK or an aftermarket part that fits?

Weird! Be very careful with aftermarket rubbish like Meyle, most of this is worse than 30 years old original matarial.

I noticed the original rubber (same for LHD and RHD as per BMW's ETK) with P/N 11 81 1 175 103 is NLA indeed

Perhaps check with some other suppliers like Schmiedmann, Eurocarparts? Walloth appear to have them but no idea if they are any good. The past few years all rubber parts from them have been complete rubbish so you're taking a risk there.

Thanks for the replies. BMW have one of them available but not the other. If aftermarket ones are so bad then maybe I'll just change one and the damper; that's got to be better than doing nothing.

edit: I tried Eurocarparts already and they can't help. I'll try the others as well though. cheers

Perhaps Walloth or others still have OEM NOS, you can at least check what brand they have.

Got some from W&N in the end. Haven't fitted them yet but they look right.
