e21 320/6 -79
Hello from Lapland, Finland!
I apologize my rally english.
Addiction to Bmw cars probably started when I travelled my very first car drive in my dads e21 when i was born in -95. Here is the picture of that car:
Last summer i started looking for ''new' car to my self when I sold my last car what was e36 328i. It took whole summer to find the car that I was looking for. I only watched Bmw cars. Finally I wounded what I wanted and surprisingly I found it from the same town where I live which is very amazing because e21:s aren't very common in Finland at these days.
CAR:
e21 320/6 -79 Polaris silver, m20b20 and 4-speed manual from the factory. I'm the 4 owner of this car and last owner had it about 9 years. The cars body has seen road about 250tkm. Previous owner fixed the body of the car and re painted it with the original color. Also the motor was replaced with m20b23 l-jet and it was full mainteined. Also trims, bumpers etc where changed to new or better condition.
Picture of the car right after I bought it. With my friends e21 315:
Some picture of the ''bought'' condition:
What was in the car when I bought it:
Motor:
-m20b23 l-jet, fully mainteined and little bit more improvement to the power.
-better exhaust manifold
-full exhaust 2.5 inches
-electric fan
-better air filter
Suspension and brakes:
-Limited slip diff
-323i brakes up front
-323i antiroll bar front and back
-Hr -35mm lowering springs
-Alpina replica wheels, OZ manufactured 15x7 et12
Body:
-re-painted
-fixed some rust issues
Interior:
-Blue marine interior
-bad seat condition for driver
What I have been done to the car and what I'm planning to do:
Motor/engine bay:
-5-speed gearbox install, which came with the car. I just need to figure out how long the drive shaft is in the 323i. Can you tell me?
-change the radiator
-change the liquid container for radiator
-put the electric fan working with the heat sensor
-change the fuel pump
-shave the engine bay from all ''unnecessary''
-put the fusebox to the inside of the car
-remove the washing liquid container for the windshield
-paint all parts and engine bay and also the back side of the bonnet
Suspension and brakes:
-Bc Racing BR Extreme Drop coils with camber, height and stiffness adjustment for the -51mm 323i struts
-BBS RM 012 2-piece wheels 15x8 et14 and 15x9 et1. With 2 inch lips and 3 inch lips (radinox). Gold bolts and 3D-hexnuts.
-185/45 tires front and 195/45 back.
-323i 51mm front struts
-323i rear trailing arms
-323i flanges
-323i rear barake discs with holes
-e30 325i rear brakes
-new pushes everywhere
-camber plates to the rear axle to fix that camber
-new wheel bearings to everywhere
-maintain the front brakes
Body:
-Alipina or Bbs replica front spoiler
-Foha rear boot spoiler
-new license plate lights
-clear indicators up front
-better condition tail lights
-remove the passenger side mirror
-rear window louvre Auto Plas
-repair some of the trunk
-red heckblende to the rear
Interior:
-Nardi steering wheel 360mm
-Momo hub
-black carpets
-e28 center console
-new gear knob
-New front seats , Recaro or something sport ones. Offer me someone?
Here is some pictures:
First, I changed the old radiator which was leaking and fixed some little things in engine bay. Also painted some of the parts to make it look better. It will get whole restoration in the future:
Results:
Wheels with the tyres:
Friend welded the front struts:
Better tail lights:
Window louvre, need a bit fixing:
And when the suspension and wheels were installed:
How it sits now after small adjustments and also some interior pics:
Here is what I have been done at this far. This gonna be the cars look for this summer and when the gold hard winter strikes I hopefully can start the bigger changes to the car.
And again, sorry for my rally English I hope you get it what I'm writing.

Beautiful car, but I agree. It's a little too low for my liking.

Thanks!
Yeah I know that some people dont like this much lowered cars expecially when the car is classic. But, since this isn't fully original or mint contition car anymore, I like to make it look good in my eyes.
I have also those Alpina replica wheels, If someday I get bored the "slammed" look I can easily change them on the car and raise the coil suspension. Then its "normal" again.
I just need to find better sport front seats and it will be good.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Re: e21 320/6 -79 Finland
Time for little update.
e30 sportseats to the front, upholstery coming when its that time.
Engine raised about one cm, now it sits higher than the subframe. Exhaust modified not to hang anymore. Straight pipe to the middle section now..
Old muffler almost gone because low life..
Then, I started to hate the driving pleasure because the control arms were hitting to the subframe almost all time. So because now its summer and i don't wanna start pig project yet , I ordered some 195/50 tires because those 45 profile are way too skinny when raising the driving height..
Postman said: *oh, you again* I guess I have ordered tires too much lately from online.
Then, I needed roll the front arches and remove plastic inner arches to get nice drive height with 'meaty' tires.
Painted the alpina replica front valance too. Did it by myself because i dont wanna pay so friking much for getting paint for that kinda part..
Then some pictures of the car (its full off pollen dust)
To be continued..
