316 Brake compensator/pressure regulator

Post by mjeffrey21 »

Hi Everyone,

I'm at a bit of a road block after i need to replace my Brake pressure regulator, part number 34331116365 due it leaking, and my garage and i cannot find a direct replacement. Please can I have some advice about how to deal with the problem?

Hardeman motorsport sell this part, would this be a replacement for this part?

Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much

Hi Matt, I believe this is more or less a brake pressure limiter, limiting the amount of pressure going to the rear wheels to prevent instability or a unwanted F/R brake balance. I believe these are NLA for quite some time. If you've confirmed the unit is actually leaking and it's not one of the brake line connections, a manual brake pressure adjuster like the one you've referenced could be an option indeed.
