Quick question……
I’m struggling to get hold of the metal fuel vent pipe
It’s been suggested on Facebook that if I used rubber fuel line that it could cause a siphon effect if it doesn’t stay straight and fuel will build up in the expansion vessel
So my question is has anyone used rubber for this or could 6mm copper pipe be used instead?
Cheers
Iain

Think I'd go for copper indeed, there must have been good reasons for BMW to go for metal for these

You mean the pipe that runs from behind the tanks under the car, comming from that liitle plastic container behind the side panel and wheelarch. With the rubber endpiece. Yeah, I would use copperline. 6mm inner diameter sounds about right.

Re: Metal fuel vent pipe
Thanks guys, I’ve bought a roll of cupronickel pipe.
I’m pretty sure that’s what the original pipe was made from
