Footwell speakers

Post by Atle_323i »

Hi, how deep can the speakers be in the footwell? I just bought a 318 without any speakers and radio, so I want to order speakers, but I need to know how big can I fit without cutting, just using original hole.

I bought these with no issues fitting and they sound OK to be, but I'm quite deaf anyway!

Does anyone know where I can get a pair of grills that are more like the original fitted to the car as mine have disintegrated and I somehow don't like the ones that these speakers were supplied with?

Those magnets looks small compared to the speaker I´ve been looking at https://www.jbl.com/car-speakers/SPKCB6 ... r-speakers

Seems like the dept is good, since yours are about 7cm.

I really wasn't that bothered about the performance as my hearing is really bad, at the time I bought them they were about £20. Anyway I rarely have the radio switched on, I'm always listening to the sound of straight-6.

JBL are also known as Just Bloody Loud, but I really used to like them, probably part of the reason I now have such poor hearing.

Any ideas on where to get grills?
